Hi to Everyone.

The proposed April and May meetings of Fairness in Child Support (F.I.C.S.) at the Coniston Community Hall (near Wollongong) for 2020 have been cancelled.

The June meeting will be assessed at a later time. Hopefully the corona virus may have reached a plateau by that stage

Most politicians have ignored letter sent by Fairness In Child Support (F.I.C.S.)

On 24 December 2019, Fairness In Child Support (F.I.C.S.) sent a letter to our Australian Federal politicians. In the letter we outlined our proposals for the necessary reform to family law and child support.

There are 226 Federal parliamentarians (150 in the House of Representatives and 76 in the Senate). We have received replies from only 8 parliamentarians. This just under 4 per cent.

The 8 parliamentarians that replied were:
  1. Sharon Bird MP (NSW) - our local member of the House of Representatives.
  2. Senator Jacqui Lambie (Tasmania).
  3. Katie Allen MP (Victoria).
  4. Senator Claire Chandler (Tasmania)
  5. Stuart Robert MP, (Queensland), Minister for Government Services.
  6. Senator Mathias Corman, (Western Australia), Minister of Finance.
  7. Terri Butler MP (Queensland).
  8. Senator Perin Davey (NSW).
It is obvious that most Federal Parliamentarians do not care about family law and child support reform.

The House of Representatives Report into the Child Support Scheme.

John Flanagan and Eric Greening met with George Christensen MP in Canberra on 12 August 2015.

This is the link to George Christensen’s Committee’s “Report into the Child Support Scheme”, that was released on 21 July 2015. We were very impressed with the possibilities contained in the report. Recommendations made such as capping of child support payments were most interesting.

However the Government bureaucrats have stifled the Child Support report and it has been effectively "buried"

Local Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands Issues

Fairness In Child Support is apolitical.

We direct our issues at all political parties and groups.

Our main local issues are:-
  • Change family law legislation, so that children see both parents.
  • Change child support legislation so as to benefit the children.
  • Prevent suicide by fixing the problems that actually cause suicide.
